An Elegant Spot in the Heart of Clifton

For many Northern Virginians, Clifton is known for its quiet and quaint atmosphere. The town's main drive is dotted with historical homes and landmarks of time gone by. Along the streets of Clifton there is another well known treasure: Heart in Hand Restaurant.

As a bit of history Heart in Hand was founded in 1982. It began as a one room lunch room to interest shoppers in Clifton. However, the popularity soon grew and the restaurant branched out to what it is today. Currently, the restaurant is open for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. Heart in Hand has had numerous distingushed guests such as Nancy Reagan and George Will, Supreme Court justices, Congressmen, Senators, and other notable Washington celebrities.

Two Girls and Their Guys Food Review Group visited Heart In Hand a few weeks ago and were immediately impressed with the warm and inviting entrance into the restaurant. We were greeted by the only staff on duty, which ended up being the only detraction from our experience!

We considered numerous factors in our rating of Heart in Hand and overall we had to give the restaurant four out of five stars. We based our rating on the below criteria:

Cost vs. Value: Five/Five
Custormer Service: Two/Five
Environment & Presentation of Food: Four/Five
Food Preparation: Three/Five
Overall Pleasure of the Dining Experience: Four/Five

Based on these criteria we have decided to rate Heart in Hand as a Virginia Treasure and encourage our readers to take a relaxing drive to Clifton for this worthwhile experience.
